How early should you arrive at Schiphol?

Schiphol recommends arriving at least 2.5 hours before departure for European flights and 3 hours before intercontinental flights. Security queues can sometimes be longer early in the morning, when several flights are checking in at once.

When should you leave from Amsterdam?

It depends on your pick-up point and traffic:

• Amsterdam Centre → Schiphol: approx. 25 minutes. Leave at least 3.5 hours before your flight.
• Amstelveen → Schiphol: approx. 15 minutes. Leave at least 3 hours before your flight.
• Haarlem → Schiphol: approx. 25 minutes. Leave at least 3.5 hours before your flight.
• Rotterdam → Schiphol: approx. 60 minutes. Leave at least 4.5 hours before your flight.
